Mentoring

All South West Music School students are offered te chance to receive professional 1-2-1 mentoring sessions throughout the academic year. For students in receipt of a full or partial MDS grant, this will automatically form a key component of your SWMS programme.

South West Music School works with a highly talented selection of mentors. We take into consideration your musical interests, current abilities, personality and geographical location to help us select someone that we believe will be able to support you effectively.

Most South West Music Students who are allocated a mentor are provided with six sessions spread across the academic year, each session lasting between 45 minutes to an hour and a half. These are usually held within the student’s home, and are designed to be relaxed, friendly and fun.
