Core student Theo is offered a place on Wiltshire Music Centre cello masterclass!

We were really pleased to be approached by the fantastic Wiltshire Music Centre (WMC) recently, to discuss a potential student opportunity.
WMC will be hosting a cello masterclass for outstanding young musicians in the new year and they were eager for South West Music School to put a student forward to be part of the masterclass. The masterclass will be led by Raphael Wallfisch – one of the most celebrated cellists performing on the international stage today. He currently holds the position of Professor of Cello in Switzerland at the Zürich Winterthur Konservatorium and in Manchester at the Royal Northern College of Music.
The masterclass is open to three young cellists and will be focusing on a range of different repertoire, offering performance tips, technical advice and interpretive wisdom.
After putting two students forward for consideration, WMC chose our incredibly talented Core programme student Theo.
Theo has recently been accepted into the National Youth Orchestra and also passed his cello diploma in June.
We want to say a big well done to Theo for being accepted onto this masterclass and can’t wait to hear all about it!
